Annie Le Astrology Event Horoscope

66

Annie Le, a promising Yale grad student, entered a campus laboratory on the morning of Tuesday, September 8th and was never seen again. I cast an event horoscope for 10 AM, the time a security camera recorded her entrance into the building, the last time she was publicly seen. The chart is below.

As of this writing [September 14th] no body has been found and no suspect has been identified. Sadly, Annie was engaged to be married on Sunday, September 13. Her fiancee has already been cleared of any suspicion and there are no persons of interest at this time.

Annie is shown by the 26 degree Libra Ascendant, and by Venus, Libra's ruler, in the 10th house. The placement of Venus shows she was quite proud of her academic accomplishments and enthusiastic about her career. Venus in Leo describes a warm, caring person who is liked by many. However, 26 degrees on the Ascendant are a critical degree, giving the chart an ominous introduction. What became of Annie after she entered the lab that morning and why was she never seen again?

The Part of Fortune, which describes the outcome of an event, is unfortunate at 11 degrees Gemini in the 8th house of death. Looking at this chart further I am concerned that Annie will not be seen alive again. The Moon's South Node, known to the ancients as "Cauda Draconis" or "Dragon's Tail," is an indicator of difficulty or tragedy, and here it is conjunct the Midheaven of this chart. Annie's fate is a public tragedy. The South Node occupies the 29th degree of Cancer, another critical degree placement which warns of heartbreak in the family.

Annie's Venus rules the 8th of death. When I do forensic charts like this it is always a bad sign when the missing person's ruling planet also rules the 8th house of death.

The next planet that struck me was Mercury, hiding on the cusp of the 12th house, and retrograde in Libra. I felt there was someone lying in wait in the lab for Annie. Because the planet is in Libra, ruled by Annie's Venus, I felt this person liked Annie a great deal, but she did not return the affection -- Venus in Leo did not reciprocate Mercury's favor.

This Mercury-person also rules the 8th house Part of Fortune and the 9th house of higher education/grad students. He clearly controlled the outcome of this disappearance and in a bad way. I believe Annie was confronted by another student and assaulted for personal and emotional reasons. Mars, ruler of the 7th of the perpetrator, is in the 9th (again, another student or colleague) in Cancer. Mars is in its fall in Cancer: emotionally volatile, quick to anger, and apt to lash out in violent outbursts.

To add more darkness to this picture, Mars is separating from opposition with Pluto and is squared by the retrograde Mercury: a quick, violent assault befell Annie in the lab from an emotionally unstable colleague whose feelings she did not reciprocate. This is reinforced by the Moon in Taurus in the 7th house of the perp. Venus is exalted in Taurus, so again, this person had a strong emotional investment in Annie. But she was getting married to her fiance in a few days, reason for an unstable person to feel abandoned and resentful.

As of this writing, on September 14th, Annie's body has not been found, although the FBI have located bloody clothing in the lab. With the transiting Sun quickly approaching a conjunction with Saturn in this chart and opposition to Uranus, I think new light will be shed on this case within a matter of days.

************************UPDATE September 15, 2009*************************

The morning news reported that Annie Le's lifeless body had been found stuffed inside a wall panel of the laboratory. A fellow student, who originally failed a lie detector test, has become a person of interest in the case. According to Annie's friends, he had a crush on Annie, but she was engaged to her fiance and not interested in him at all.

No details of Annie's death have been released yet. but because the evil fixed star Caput Algol is on the 8th house cusp I believe Annie was strangled or suffocated, and with the opposition of Mars to Pluto probably some form of sexual assault was attempted. In spite of my astrological analysis I had hoped that Annie would be found alive and unharmed, and my condolences go out to her friends and family.
